Details

The women's Wrapp™ Pro bindings feature FlowTape™ silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles with a smooth buckle release for easy on-off use. The 7075 aluminum frame is the lightest, strongest tubing available, and the variable ReactiV™ forming lends a stiffer, more responsive flex. Extensive biomechanics research led to the development of our Elektra women's frame, with outside rolling bends, a narrower waist, and a tapered tail that refuse to compromise on a women's natural stance and gait. Spring-Loaded™ Suspension provides deeper penetration of the Holey-1 Toe Crampon, and the Advanced Aft Traction provides sure footing on all terrain.
Elektra Design:
The Elektra women’s designs grew from a two-year biomechanics research program to a deep line of successful women’s snowshoes that continue to lead the industry. Atlas' Elektra frames are shaped to accommodate a woman’s natural gait, with tapered tails, a narrower nose and outside rolling bends that nest the snowshoes together comfortably. Since women’s needs are more than frame-deep, their binding designs are molded around a women’s boot, offer increased arch support and use carefully-placed strapping and padding to eliminate pressure points and keep circulation moving in the cold.

Atlas Snowshoes:
The Atlas story began in 1990 when founder Perry Klebahn, who was looking to snowshoeing to help recover from a motorcycle injury, became frustrated with the designs of the time. Klebahn soon developed his own ideas, and created a revolutionary new snowshoe as the thesis project for his graduate engineering degree from Stanford University's product design program. Applying for patents on the original Atlas snowshoe, Klebahn was awarded the first patent granted for snowshoes in over 40 years. As development continued, innovations like the dual crampon design and Spring-Loaded™ Suspension became tenets of Atlas snowshoe designs and revolutionized the sport of snowshoeing.

Features
| • Spring-Loaded Suspension keeps the snowshoe close underfoot for easy maneuvering, suspends your foot so it can move freely, absorbs impact, and enhances traction control especially on steep or off-angle terrain. |
| • Elektra frames are shaped to accommodate a woman’s natural gait, with tapered tails, a narrower nose and outside rolling bends that nest the snowshoes together comfortably. |
| • The variable forming of the Atlas 7075 aluminum ReactiV™ frame changes from a cylindrical to an elliptical shape to increase strength where the frame bears the greatest loads for a stiffer, more responsive snowshoe frame. |
| • Heel Lift Bar: On steep climbs, calf muscles tire quickly and traction decreases when your foot matches the slope angle. The heel lift bar eases fatigue and ties directly into Advanced Aft Traction for grip. |
| • Duratek Decking: Our lightest and strongest decking, Duratek uses a pebble-finish for more abrasion resistance |
| • Wrapp™ Pro Binding: The men's and women's Wrapp™ Pro bindings feature FlowTape™ silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles with a smooth buckle release for easy on-off use. |
| • Holey-1 Toe Crampon: Our top-end traction, the Holey-1 uses shovel-shaped stainless steel prongs for better hold and sharp ice tips for superior bite on frozen slopes. |
| • Advanced Aft Traction: Sure grip comes from sharp ice tips on the heel cleat with four angled, ridged side rails for superior all-mountain traction. The integrated heel lift bar ties directly into the traction for deeper penetration with each step |
| • Abrasion-resistant snowshoe decking, heel lifts and aggressive traction provide superior maneuverability, durability and dependability for hiking mountain trails in winter. |

| Frame | Atlas' most recent patent, the variable forming of our 7075 aluminum ReactiV™ frame changes from a cylindrical to an elliptical shape to increase strength where the frame bears the greatest loads for a stiffer, more responsive snowshoe frame. |
| Binding | Wrapp™ Pro Binding: The men's and women's Wrapp™ Pro bindings feature FlowTape™ silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles with a smooth buckle release for easy on-off use. |
| Decking | Duratek Decking: Atlas' lightest and strongest decking, Duratek uses a pebble-finish for more abrasion resistance on the 12 Series, Elektra 12 Series, Elektra 11 Series, and BC24 snowshoes. |
| Technology | Atlas' surest grip comes from sharp ice tips on the heel cleat with four angled, ridged side rails for superior all-mountain traction. The integrated heel lift bar ties directly into the traction for deeper penetration with each step. |
| Technology | An Atlas tenet from the beginning, Atlas' patented Spring-Loaded™ Suspension (SLS) keeps the snowshoe close underfoot for easy maneuvering and suspends your foot so it can move freely with its intended articulation. |
| Technology | Impact absorbing suspension lets your foot flex for a comfortable, stable position on traverses and uneven terrain. SLS enhances traction control too, as the flex provides deeper crampon penetration especially on steep or off-angle terrain. |
| Snowshoe Specifications | On steep climbs, calf muscles tire quickly and traction decreases when your foot matches the slope angle. The heel lift bar eases fatigue and ties directly into Advanced Aft Traction for grip. |
| Crampon | Holey-1 Toe Crampon: Atlas' top-end traction, the Holey-1 uses shovel-shaped stainless steel prongs for better hold and sharp ice tips for superior bite on frozen slopes. |
