The backpack we ordered came in a timely manner...got a phone call from customer service, making sure I received it ok because for some reason the post office had indicated that they had not been able to deliver...however, that was not the case. I was grateful or their follow-up, nonetheless.

This style of Jansport is still a quality backpack. The material seems different since I was kid, but I guess this is some new technology plastic canvas-like fabric that is just as strong as the old canvas material. I feel that this backpack will last me a long time. I would have gave it 5 stars if it was bigger. The size has definitely shrunk a little from the older models of this style, with the leather bottom--maybe they made them smaller because it's hip, as I see some younger people wearing smaller backapacks.

This back pack is a good all-purpose basic pack that should be great for carrying books and supplies around campus. We trust that Jansport makes good products, and this pack will serve our college student well for several years, but for now, it is still under the Christmas tree.

I had a JanSport for 15 years and loved it
I had a JanSport for 15 years and loved it. It had some embroidery on the front pocket that I really liked but have been unable to find on any of the current packbacks. The new one is larger but that's OK. It also isn't as pliable but maybe that comes with time.
