The Mountain Hardwear Women’s Transition Jacket features windproof and breathable Windstopper Soft Shell fabric. This lightweight jacket has stretch panels for maximum mobility and a DWR finish to help shed light rain and snow. The close-fitting and athletic cut has a long back so you won’t get a cold back when you reach above your head or grab your handlebars. Inner cuffs with thumb loops keep hands warm, and the rear zip pocket has and earpiece exit for your MP3 player. Controlling your temperature is a cinch with the full front zipper and quick access hood.
Windstopper® Soft Shell: The next generation of WINDSTOPPER. Featured in Mountain Hardwear's Transition garments, this three-layer laminate has an extremely breathable, windproof membrane sandwiched between a moisture-grabbing brushed polyester inner and a moisture-wicking jersey knit face. Fitted close to the body and sealed by Lycra at hems and cuffs, a Transition garment creates a microclimate next to the skin. As you exercise and heat up, the temperature/ humidity differential between this interior microclimate and the outside air creates a driving force that pushes moisture out through the membrane as vapor. The next-to-skin microclimate is small in volume so this driving force is extremely efficient, and moisture is driven out quickly.
