It's made with Polartec® Thermal Pro® fleece so it insulates and resists pilling better than most cotton knit sweaters and hoodie sweatshirts. This fleece jacket isn't windproof or waterproof, but it offers excellent thermal warmth during the calm chilly mornings on the mountain or at your campsite. Elastic bound cuffs and an adjustable hem cinch cord help seal out cold air. The Malache's standard fit construction also layers well over a lightweight fleece pullover or under a waterproof rain shell (unlike some garments made by The North Face, the Men's Malache Fleece Knit Jacket is not Zip-in compatible). Unless you order this fleece jacket in black, the zipper pulls for the front zipper and hand pockets are available in cool contrast colors.
