Osprey has been building packs as tough as the Rocky Mountains since 1974.A dedication to innovative design and quality packs has been their mantra since the very beginning and the current line of Osprey packs is well representative of their guiding principles.
When Osprey outgrew its domestic production facility and it was time to follow the big pack manufacturers overseas owners Mike Pfotenhauer and Diane Wren proceeded with caution and a determination to “do it right.” Rather than outsource the production of Osprey packs to an outside firm Mike and Diane moved their families to Vietnam to personally oversee the facility.
Lots of companies build backpacks, and at first it sounds like a simple thing to do. Packs carry things; however, the way a pack carries the load is how Osprey distinguishes itself from the heard. Backpacks are not something that Osprey makes, it is the specialty and it shows. Superior comfort, extreme durability, and quality craftsmanship are characteristics you will find in every Osprey pack.
